During the early 1970’s I spent many Saturday mornings in front of the Safeway store on Lincoln Blvd in Venice, CA, carrying my sign urging shoppers to boycott table grapes. I always felt energized and grateful for the chance to demonstrate my support for farmworkers and what they do for all of us.
A few years later I was able to March with Casar at a large rally in San Francisco, and later had the great privilege of meeting him. His work stands as an inspiration to all who want to see a better world and are willing to work towards it out of the Spirit of Love.
