I was one of the students who picketed the supermarkets in Sacramento—asking them to take Gallo wines off their shelves and asking consumers not to buy their products until they signed a labor contract with UFW. 

I heard Cesar speak before the state legislature.  I wish I had a recording of that amazingly beautiful, humble, yet divinely powerful speech.  I really have never been able to adequately describe how inspired I was by this amazing man. 

I have loved the song De Colores ever since going to some of the gatherings and rallies.
